Comments Off on Norwescon Schedule, ho! February 13, 2017 Sold! Filed under: News — kat @ 10:12 am My pseudonym, K. R. Richardson, has had a good day. This turned up on Friday at Publisher’s Marketplace (I’m told–I didn’t see it) and a shorter version appeared today at Quill & Quire and a different version in Locus this month: K. R. Richardson’s novel SCATTERED OBJECTS, a gritty cop drama set in a futuristic, multi-layered and multi-racial society, where an idealistic rookie from a powerful family and the planet’s first cybernetically enhanced forensic investigator from an ethnic under-class must solve a brutal crime, to Rene Sears at Pyr Books, by Sally Harding at The Cooke Agency. (World English) I’m pretty excited. And yes, there will be changes to the website as soon as I can manage, which WILL include fixing quite a few broken things, like the darned Events plug in that keeps borking dates! Only $150 to talk character for 6 hours– that’s a pretty good deal! From the site: Learn how to develop characters that come alive on the page and move your plot dynamically from the first word of a story to the last. In this workshop, you’ll practice exercises that will help you craft character motive, backstory, flaws, and quirks. You’ll come away from the workshop knowing how to produce exciting, relatable characters for every role in your story, from the biggest to the smallest. Check out the details and register soon. Space is limited.
